The key to being successful with investing is to :
- be clear about what you want to achieve,
- implement and follow a well-articulated, disciplined investment process based on investment principles that stand the test of time, and
- acquire diversified quality investments at attractive values.
Focus on Cash Flow
Ultimately, your investment assets are meant to provide you and your family with a cash flow to serve your needs at some point in time. That is why deriving an attractive after-tax cash flow is a predominant focus in my practice.
As the chart below shows, the accumulated assets you will hold over your lifetime can be be segmented according to three general purposes. I will work with you to minimize the allocation to government, and determine the appropriate mix that you choose to spend on your lifestyle vs transferring to your estate.

Personal Profile
It is very important for me to understand your priorities and vision for your life. We will spend a considerable amount of time at the outset on establishing a comprehensive personal profile. This will assist us in determining how best to have your investment assets serve your needs and purposes.
Clarify and Set Goals
The profile will enable us to clarify and set specific achievable goals that you are passionate about. Experience has taught me that restricting the number of goals to a maximum of five allows us to better focus on the means and path to achieveing them.
Investment Policy Statement
Once goals are established we will prepare an Investment Policy Statement (IPS) that will guide the investment process. The IPS is a formal agreement between us that articulates your lifetime financial strategy and anchors your expectations. In writing, it describes your investment objectives, desired asset mix, investing constraints, and guidelines for selecting, managing and monitoring investments.
Regular Meetings and Monitoring
We will meet on a set scheduled basis, and as circumstances arise, to monitor and re-allocate investments to meet our Investment Policy Statement Guidelines.
